This season’s highly anticipated EFL Awards will be available live and free on the Sky Sports app on Sunday evening.

Hosted by Sky Sports presenters Bela Shah and David Prutton, the awards will be shown on the app from 7pm, live from the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Celebrating the EFL season on and off the pitch, the prizes are split into three sections, with the following approximate times:

  • 7:00 p.m. – Community Awards
  • 8:40 p.m. – Club awards ceremony
  • 10 p.m. – Football Awards

Fans will be able to watch the evening’s entertainment unfold as Aleksandar Mitrović, Harry Wilson or Dominic Solanke are named Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season.

Mitrović’s remarkable 40 goals have already sent Fulham back to the Premier League. The Serb was regularly helped by Welsh team-mate and assistant Wilson, who racked up double the goals and assists to help Fulham return to the top flight. Meanwhile, leading the line with his speed, strength and intelligence, Bournemouth’s Solanke has 26 league goals to his name and is also a contender.

In Sky Bet League One, midfielders Scott Twine and Barry Bannan take on Rotherham United striker Michael Smith for the Sky Bet Player of the Season award.

In Sky Bet League Two, Forest Green Rovers have two players in contention in Kane Wilson and Matty Stevens, while Newport County goalscoring machine Dominic Telford completes the list.

The EFL Young Player of the Season will be awarded by division for the first time, with Nottingham Forest duo Brennan Johnson and Djed Spence on the Championship shortlist alongside talented Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho.

The most spectacular goal of the season will also be rewarded with the Goal of the Season award.

Three Football Manager Teams of the Season will be announced overnight, with a manager and starting XI chosen for each individual division.

The League’s two most prestigious awards, Contribution to League Football and the Sir Tom Finney Award, will also be presented during the evening.

Additionally, clubs will be commended for their work off the pitch, with the Your Move Community Club of the Season to be announced alongside the Community Project of the Season and PFA Player in the Community.

New for 2022, the EFL will also present the Diversity and Sustainability Awards alongside the Kin + Carta Family Club of the Season and Supporter of the Season.
