Panthers Group signs deal with Accor for Pullman Sydney Penrith

The Panthers group has signed an agreement with Accor for a new five-star Pullman hotel in the Penrith Panthers area in western Sydney.

Opening in the fourth quarter of 2023, the iconic neighborhood will include an upscale 153-room Pullman Sydney Penrith hotel, a conference center that can accommodate 1,000 people and a community centre. The project will transform the area and create a new state-of-the-art business and entertainment destination for the local community and visitors.

The hotel is attached to and will service the new 1,250m² Western Sydney Conference Center (WSCC), which will complement the group’s current meetings and events and host trade shows, exhibitions and other major events.

Panthers Group Managing Director Brian Fletcher said: “Pullman Sydney Penrith will be an elevated addition to Western Sydney’s tourism offering and will build on existing and upcoming new amenities within the Panthers grounds. and the wider Penrith area. This is part of our ongoing commitment to providing world-class facilities to the local community. This development will further enhance Penrith’s reputation as a world-class events and tourism destination.

The town of Penrith is on the brink of a major tourism boom, with other major infrastructure works underway to further enhance the destination, including the future Western Sydney International Airport just 30 minutes’ drive away (opening in 2026).

This historic new hotel announcement follows Accor’s seven-year deal for the naming rights to the Accor Stadium in Sydney’s Olympic Park, which offers incredible experiences for ALL – Accor Live members, owners and guests. Limitless.

The community center will serve as a hub for local organizations, with flexible space for a wide range of community programs. Panthers Group envisions this space to be a flexible and multi-purpose venue that will enable Penrith community organizations that support disadvantaged and vulnerable residents to expand their programs and operate in a state-of-the-art building close to all local amenities. .

Situated at the foot of the Blue Mountains, WSCC and Pullman Sydney Penrith is perfectly positioned at the gateway to western Sydney. In the town of Penrith, Accor also operates the Mercure Penrith, which is located next to the Penrith Panthers area and will continue to work with the Panthers group.
