The SOUTH Gippsland Shire Council has launched a new promotional website to provide information for visitors looking to explore the South Gippsland region and locals who want to explore their own backyard.
The new site can be viewed at visitsouthgippsland.com.au.
The website features information on attractions, rides, and activities as well as details of many local businesses. The site is now live but will continue to be expanded over the coming months as more information and images are added.
Accommodation, attraction and tour businesses are encouraged to apply for free registration on the website, as well as food, beverage, retail, arts and crafts businesses that have a storefront and are open to the public.
Event organizers are also encouraged to use the new site to help promote events taking place in South Gippsland.
“The new viewsouthgippsland.com.au website is a fantastic source of information and engaging images to help inspire visitors to plan their next vacation,” said Mayor Cr Mohya Davies.
“It’s also a wonderful resource for locals to explore our own backyard and promote the many amazing things we have to offer. Whether it’s local events, businesses, and attractions, I encourage everyone to jump on them, take a look, and share with family and friends.
Companies and event organizers are invited to upload their information via the “add / update an advertisement” link.
The development of a new promotional website is an action of the council’s South Gippsland Visitor Economy Strategy. The site was developed with financial support from the Victorian Government’s Outdoor Restoration and Activation Program.
