Marcus Samuelsson’s recommendations in his Montreal restaurant MARCUS

Its MARCUS Montreal location is in the heart of the city’s Golden Square Mile, inside the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel. According to its website, the restaurant’s goal is to serve traditional brasserie cuisine through a modern lens.

While there’s a lot to like on the menu, Samuelsson spoke to Forbes about a few of his recommendations. One of its top picks, according to the site, for a light and easy breakfast is their muesli. It is accompanied by buffalo yoghurt, red fruits and granola, according to the MARCUS menu. He also mentions that the chia pudding with coconut milk and various fruits is a great way to start the day.

Some of his other favorites include many of the restaurant’s seafood dishes. From roasted tiger prawns with tomatillo, mint and avocado to caramelized koji portobello with basil, aji amarillo and sour cream, chef Samuelsson says he loves these dishes for their lightness while providing good energy throughout the day, according to Forbes. MARCUS seafood dishes are available at dinnertime with sides like truffle fries and caviar or yuzu fruit tart for dessert (via the MARCUS menu).

If you ever find yourself in Montreal with a hunger pang, you can try MARCUS for everything from an early brunch to a late night cocktail.
