BURGLAR (Late), 2022-07050147, 1700 block of the Richmond Highway. At around 4:06 p.m. on July 5, police were dispatched to a belated report of an attempted burglary. The investigation determined that at around 2:30 p.m. on July 1, the victim was in a hotel room when he was awakened by a noise at the door. After investigating, the victim observed the unknown suspect at the open door. The suspect fled on foot and the victim contacted security personnel who searched the building for the suspect, yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLAR (Late), 2022-07050127 Block 200 of N. Glebe Rd. At around 2 p.m. on July 5, police were dispatched to a late report of a break and enter. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 3:14 a.m. on July 5 that an unknown suspect entered the business, tampered with the cash register, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. There were no signs of a break-in. The suspect is described as a black, bald, thin man. He wore a black hoodie, black sweatpants with a white stripe down the leg, and light-colored sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
