“As the head of AMpm Canada, I listen to every request,” says Mendonça, who started his business in 2014. “Building relationships within the travel community is key to a successful marketing campaign. And I built those relationships for 30 years.

Recent events highlight Vienna

One of Mendonça’s first projects was a tea event for travel advisors, airlines, tour operators and the media in the cafe in Toronto Ritz Carlton Hotelwhere participants learned about Viennese tourism while tasting Viennese teas and delicacies.

Another immersive campaign was that of Mendonça “Vienna Salon”, which invited travel professionals to a Toronto mansion for a Viennese-inspired evening marking the 150th anniversary of the Ringstraße.

“My events, in particular, are about enhancing the experience so partners meet the right people and feel empowered to sell a destination,” Mendonca said.

In addition to event planning, AMpm Canada also develops media strategies, business seminars and familiarization trips and offers video and photography services and customer support for travel advisor communities.

Diversity and LGBTQ initiatives

The new website also features a page entirely dedicated to diversity and philanthropic initiatives, a community dear to the heart of Mendonça.

“This industry is my passion and I look forward to the opportunity to establish new partnerships,” says Mendonça.
