Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress reaches Maharashtra: Will cover 15 assembly seats and 6 Lok Sabha seats in the state, there will also be 2 rallies
The Congress Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Maharashtra on Monday for the 61st day. This yatra will last 14 days in Maharashtra. This trip from Kamareddy to Telangana reached Maharashtra from Deglur in Nanded district of Maharashtra around 9 p.m. Rahul Gandhi will address rallies at No. 10 in Nanded district and on November 18 at Shegaon in Buldhana. This 14-day journey of Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Madhya Pradesh on November 20, covering 15 assembly seats and 6 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.
At the border of the two states, Telangana Congress Speaker Revanth Reddy and Maharashtra Congress Speaker Nana Patole handed over the national flag. The Maharashtra Congress hosted the visit of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Kalamandir in Deglur in the state.
Congress sources said Telangana Congress held a public meeting tonight to bid farewell to the yatris in Menuru village, Madanoor Mandal constituency of Jukkal. Revanth Reddy said on Sunday that we found ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ very successful in Telangana and got huge support from people in the state. Farmers, activists and intellectuals all participated in this yatra and showed their solidarity with Rahul Gandhi.
Today was the 12th day of Bharat Jodi Yatra in Telangana. There was also a four day rest in the Telangana leg of the yatra. According to party sources, Telangana was to go through 19 assembly constituencies and seven parliamentary constituencies. A journey of 375 km was completed before entering Maharashtra. After the reception, the yatra will resume on Monday evening during which pedestrians will carry the torch of unity.
National Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra on November 8. However, Sharad Pawar will walk less than a mile with Rahul due to illness. At the same time, there are doubts about the participation of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray and his son, former minister Aaditya Thackeray in the yatra. Many leaders including Maharashtra veteran Balasaheb Thorat, Bhai Jagtap and Ashok Chavan will participate in the yatra.
The Congress has made huge preparations to make the Yatra a success in Maharashtra. The party called on people from different sectors of the state to join them. Congress workers left Mumbai by road, rail and air to welcome Rahul Gandhi. All hotels, lodges and Dharamsala etc. have been reserved for their stay.
