Adidas has decided to suspend operations of its stores and website in Russia until further notice.

“As a company, we strongly condemn all forms of violence and stand in solidarity with those calling for peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Ukraine and all those affected at this difficult time,” said the company in an emailed statement. .

The company said it is donating a total of 1 million euros ($1.1 million) to charities for refugees and children, in addition to donating clothing to Global Aid Network in the people in need in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

“As a company, we offer tailor-made support to our employees and their family members in the region, to help with transport, accommodation, clothing and food, as well as psychological support” , he added.

The German clothing company announced on March 1 that it had decided to suspend its partnership with the Russian Football Union due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
